Do You Dare Pet a Cactus – or Do You as a Manager Avoid all Problems?

22-12-2011
The Danish Dairy Employers´ Association (Mejeribrugets Arbejdsgiverforening) gathered around 300 leaders and employees from the dairy industry for the annual Work Environment Conference focusing on cooperation and job satisfaction.

For several years People & Performance has delivered leadership training for Arla and was therefore invited to the conference to present our thoughts on how the leader as a role model actively can increase job satisfaction and achieve even better results.

CEO Torben Nørby presented 15 solid messages on what it takes for the management to change attitudes and behaviour in the workplace and thus achieve better results on the bottom line.

“Be Present”, “Raise the Bar”, and, “Do not Beat around the Bush” are just some of the 15 messages – and the cactus represents the problems we recognise from our daily work but beat around every single day. See more messages concerning management in the conference presentation, here (in Danish).
