What is Situational Leadership II®?

11-06-2010

Situational Leadership II® is a leadership philosophy and a concept based on the assumption that people are different, and that, therefore, the type of leadership required differs from individual to individual and from task to task. The leader shall take this into consideration when practising leadership so that he or she adapts it to the situation and to the needs of the employees.

Benefits from applying SLII®

Situational Leadership II® equips leaders and employees with a shared language for finding the most efficient leadership style in a given situation. Situational Leadership II® also offers tools that break down strategy to concrete objectives for each employee so that they can make their contributions to reaching company objectives.

A plain and simple tool

Situational Leadership II® (SLII®) is based on a model that uncovers employee skills and involvement as well as their need for leadership so that individuals can be led to do their very best when working with specific goals and tasks. The SLII® model is so simple – and yet powerful – that it is the world’s most used leadership concept that works across languages and cultures worldwide.
