Kill several birds with one stone … it can be done!

When you are about to employ several people at the same time, you must know your requirements and have a very clear picture of the profiles you want from the candidates. One of our customers needed to bring in a large number of management trainees so they could create a pipeline of skilled employees who could be trained to take over leading positions in the company.

Efficient one-day process
To have the maximum effect, without spending dozens of hours on selection, interviews and negotiations, we planned an efficient one-day process that would effectively discover the profiles of the candidates. They were scheduled in for an early morning start and during the day we ran personality and cognitive tests. The candidates were interviewed by leading staff members from the company and consultants from People & Performance following a pre-planned format. Finally, the participants were observed doing group work.

High ratio of success
At the end of the day we knew which candidates should be offered employment. We evaluated their appointments after a year, and the result was excellent as the majority of the candidates had been offered leading positions in the company.
