Career counselling is professional assistance that uncovers individual opportunities and helps you use them to make the right choices. A change of job involves tough decisions, and it is often hard to channel opportunities, competencies and motivation to a specific area or role.
Who
If you have made a conscious decision to really focus on your career or if you are at a time and place in your worklife where you want to look at new or alternative opportunities, career counselling is a good starting point.
What
People & Performance have a wealth of experience in selection, recruitment and leadership counselling and it is our experience that a process involving seven meetings is the best way forward. But the process can, of course, be tailored to your needs.
Each meeting has its own agenda:
-
Uncovering personal and professional competencies
-
Writing or adjusting your CV and perhaps job application
-
Identifying and activating your network of contacts
-
Identifying job aspirations and opportunities
-
Analysing job advertisements
-
Interview training
-
Establishing a framework for receiving ongoing feedback from your own network of contacts
