Career Counselling

A new objective needs a good plan

Career counselling is professional assistance that uncovers individual opportunities and helps you use them to make the right choices. A change of job involves tough decisions, and it is often hard to channel opportunities, competencies and motivation to a specific area or role.

Who
If you have made a conscious decision to really focus on your career or if you are at a time and place in your worklife where you want to look at new or alternative opportunities, career counselling is a good starting point.

What
People & Performance have a wealth of experience in selection, recruitment and leadership counselling and it is our experience that a process involving seven meetings is the best way forward. But the process can, of course, be tailored to your needs.

Each meeting has its own agenda:

  1. Uncovering personal and professional competencies
  2. Writing or adjusting your CV and perhaps job application
  3. Identifying and activating your network of contacts
  4. Identifying job aspirations and opportunities
  5. Analysing job advertisements
  6. Interview training
  7. Establishing a framework for receiving ongoing feedback from your own network of contacts
